Hi, I need to do some exercise to get back some fitness and lose some weight. The problem is time. So I'm thinking of getting a treadmill or rowing machine as i can just jump on it for 10 mins or so. Which of these will be best for fitness on weight lose?
Thanks.
Barrie

Maybe instead of devoting time to exercise you could just incorporate it more into your daily life. Take the stairs instead of the lift, walk to the shops instead of driving, cycle to work etc.

Diet is key aswell. Make sure you pick the right foods and always, whenever you can, burn it off with some exercise as mentioned afterwards after all you cannot get fit if tour eating the wrong types of food.

Cardio, like weight training, is crucial for losing fat. Pick any time of day, any activity--as long as you get your heart within your target heart rate zone and workout for long enough (20-30 minutes) to get the benefits. How much cardio you do depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

Eating

Note: None of the above is going to work unless you're eating right.

f you want to build muscle, you should be eating more calories than you burn. The key is to add healthy calories to your diet so you can avoid heart disease, high cholesterol, etc. You need to be just as vigilant about your eating to gain weight as you do to lose it.

10 Reasons we''re not Losing Weight

1. not exercising enough
2. not getting enough sleep
3. too stressed out
4. eating too much
5. not consistent with our exercise and healthy eating
6. blow it on the weekends
7. haven't given ourself enough time to see results
8. have a medical condition
9. have hit a plateau
10. don't need to lose weight

But You should do it everyday with the easy step.

I don't think you can really use time as an excuse. It's an easy one to make, of course... but you simply have to make time.

Exactly time is an excuse. I think we can walk after dinner/lunches or make a diet chart to keep check on your regular food intake. Reduce oily/junk food, drink a lot of water, just for 5-10 mins of yoga..n ofcourse if you are planning to buy a treadmill thats a real good option, but even for that you need time.. Smile

cheers.!! stay healthy..!! Smile
