The highlight of this Friday’s Diamond League meet in Paris has to be the matchup between Jamaican sprinters Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell in the 100m dash. While Bolt has been out with injury for most of the season, Powell has dominated the event, posting a league leading 9.82s in the process. Bolt is, of course, the world’s best sprinter with his unreal world record of 9.58. It will definitely be an entertaining race, and you can see it LIVE at the Universal Sports website at 2pm ET or on Universal Sports Network.

Powell does seem to be getting closer to Bolt, although it still seems difficult to imagine anyone beating him.

Well, what I think about both the Powell and Bolt is that they’re good pieces in the history of athletics. When it comes to the competition between the two, while utilizing my daily sport and even all sports knowledge, I would simply say that Powell is the best. On the other hand, Bolt is also not that bad, afterall he’s competing Powell so he’s also a great champ to be unbiased.

It's a shame that these guys don't race each other more often. Three of the fastest in history.

It's also a shame that Powell can't seem to do it when it really counts, in the major championships...

Maybe that will change come London?

Gay put in a serious performance last night. Things could be tasty with the three of them.

Gay is really the main challenger to Bolt at next year's world championships.

Ok, Powell scored a win over him earlier this year when Bolt was below par but it's going to take a time of 9.6ish at least to win gold and Gay is the only other man to have come anywhere near running a time that fast.

It's a shame for Powell as he really should have at least 1 major championship gold under his belt but he had his big chances in 2004 and 2005 and he blew it
