I think Leeds Rhinos will weather the storm (sorry for pun), and lift the WCC for the second time in 4 years. Melbourne have a squad with some injuries and absences, like Cameron Smith is not playing. This is a great thing for us Rhinos.

OK,I have to swallow my pride with a bitter pill,Leeds deserved their win against the Storm, and the refereeing was 'SUPERB" I cannot recall any bad decisions, the conditions looked atrocious, and the pitch LOOKED like one belonging to a third division soccer team, but the worst thing was the commentators,I don't think I have ever heard such biased commentating,..when Australia scored the first try, some dickhead commentator said that his left arm was over the dead ball line before he touched down, slow -mo showed it was at least30 centimetres inside at the point of touchdown, another clown said that the melbourne player who injured a Leeds player did so with a late tackle,I would suggest he makes an appointment to see a good opthamologist before he requires a white stick.....not blaming this on our defeat, just wish you would get some impartial commentators...........I have the whole match on a dvd so I can substantiate my aspersions.

Did you have Aussie commentators or did you have the pleasure of Eddie and Stevo? Stevo in particular loves Yorkshire sides and is regularly bias against Lancashire sides, with the possible exception of Saints.

Not sure how much to read into these fixtures really as Super League clubs regularly win them, yet the GB side is still regularly hopeless. I guess the spread of talent down under is greater than in Super League so whilst our top few sides are a match for those down under our lesser teams are no match whatsoever.

Good win for the Rhinos. Sinfield deserved man of the match completely. He was definitely one of the best players on the pitch, along with Rob Burrow. Pity about Clinton Toopi dislocating his shoulder on his 7th birthday Sad

Wasn't the wind abit... windy? Have to feel sorry for Melbourne's kicker when the big gust of wind came at just the wrong time.

We listened to the same commentary as you did in England, each one had a broad Yorkshire/Lancashire accent, and as biased as hell.

Is it true the games are going to be rotated after this year??

Whoever did that should have the laser beam aimed up his rectum for 10 seconds.

They should be rotated really as the matches are always played in Britain at the moment. Must be a disadvantage to the Australian side.

I don't know, but I don't think it is fair and surely a steward should of spotted it and kicked the person responsible out of the ground.

That must hurt.

Not as much as it would to Sinfield if the laser had got in his eye.

We have a few similar idiots in Australia...not nearly as many as England because your population is nearly 3 times our's. Laughing

It can't have been a Leeds fan though can it? I don't suppose that many Aussies came over for the game but the expat community might have been in attendance. Were there many non-Leeds Brits in the crowd?

There were a few Aussies by me, who only got to cheer once Laughing

Had an Aussie flag, and outside the ground saw a few Melbourne shirts around. There weren't many though Confused
