This is pretty cool... (click)

I've tried snowboarding and can't even balance on one, so goodness knows how people can do this!

I strongly Disagree. I have done both and was equally as good at each. I have always found that snowboarding is the harder of the two , because as paul said it requires much more balance, and it requires more skill to negotiate turns and also of corse to stop!! Either way both are great fun Smile

I have to agree with DanG

I could ski with little difficulty my first time. Itwas easy to learn, and I got good relatively fast

Snow Boarding on the other hand I am still not good at, and I have tried at least 10 times over the years. HOwever there is a guy at work that used to be an instructer and if we ever get any good snow we are going out and he is going to teach me

I'm by no means an expert - but personally I've found skiing to be very easy initially, but incredibly difficult to get really good at. Snowboarding, on the other hand, takes a while to get the basics, but once you've got them, you progress very quickly. Doesn't take anywhere as long to master.

Oh yes, I agree with you. Snowboarding is really an exciting sport and aside form this, it is an increasingly popular winter sport that offers a number of health benefits. Even if you're not the most proficient snowboarder, you can still enjoy cardiovascular benefits and burn calories.
